RAFT Polymerization and Other Controlled Polymerization Methods

A particular focus of research was and still is Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) polymerization, which we have intensively investigated and further developed in recent years. We performed fundamental studies on the mechanism and kinetics of RAFT polymerization, we investigated the process at various technical reaction conditions to pave the way for industrial applications,

we developed surface-bound mediators for polymerizations on solid supports, and we applied RAFT to design new macromolecular architectures, to name just a few aspects.
